  As the College commences into its fourth decade, the Netaji Subhash Mahavidyalaya family continues its tireless endeavor to fulfil the twin objectives of academic excellence and the holistic development of the young minds entrusted to the care of this institution. An institution of higher learning is not merely a physical space bounded by syllabi, curricula and examinations; it is a living, nurturing abode that enriches students with practical knowledge, ethical values, and universal wisdom. Challenges are inevitable in this journey of endless learning, yet we remain steadfast in our resolution to overcome and learn from them advancing steadily, one step at a time.

  Under the NCCF curriculum, the College offers a Four-Year Undergraduate Programme, providing students with strong academic foundation and opportunities for intellectual growth. The institution houses major Departments, namely, Bengali, English, History, Political Science, Philosophy, Economics, Geography, Sociology, Sanskrit, Physical Education, and Mathematics. In keeping with contemporary academic demands, greater emphasis has been laid down this year on interdisciplinary studies, encouraging learners to engage with knowledge beyond conventional disciplinary boundaries. The College has been accredited with grade-B in the last NAAC Accreditation (2025). The Department of Physical Education continues to bring distinction and recognition to the institution through laudable achievements in various sporting events.

  In addition, the College offers M.A. programme in Distance Education mode, conducted in collaboration with Netaji Subhas Open University (NSOU), thereby extending access to higher education to a wider and diverse learner community.

  Like each droplet that makes the ocean, it is the small but consistent effort that brings positive change. Let us all be part of that positivity that believes in boundless possibilities for us as individual and society as a whole.

  In this year National Education Policy is being introduced. We have National Service Scheme. We have M.A. in Distance Education Mode conducted by NSOU.
