From the Desk of Teacher-in-Charge

Netaji Subhas Mahavidyalaya, Haldibari, started functioning as a higher educational centre in 1985 at Haldibari and surrounding areas disseminating knowledge and information and inculeating values of higher education and instilling values of social service among the students.

  The college started its journey in 1985 with six teaching and nine non-teaching staff. We got the first Principal of the college in 2003.

  At present, the college offers 4 Year Under Graduate Programme Course. We have Major Departments in Bengali, English, History, Political Science, Philosophy, Economics, Geography, Sociology, Sanskrit, Physical Education and Mathematics. This year more emphasis has been given on Inter-disciplinary studies.

  The faculties are very good and competent enough to take the challenge of higher education. The ambience of the college is very good.

  In this year National Education Policy is being introduced. We have National Service Scheme. We have M.A. in Distance Education Mode conducted by NSOU.

  We are striving hard to cope with the recent challenges of educational values. We are marching forward to reach newer heights in near future.
